Our method has five steps: choose a real question, find the source, state only what we can support, label the date, and review on a schedule. This page explains each step.
How do we choose topics?
We start from questions couples ask while planning, such as how to choose between two places or how to read a package. Each guide answers one question and says who it suits best.
How do we verify facts?
We check entry rules, schedules, taxes and certifications against official or reputable sources. Examples include tourism authorities, airline and ferry operators, and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia.
A fact that cannot be verified is left out. Where rules can change, we tell you to confirm with the official site before you travel.
How do we label sources?
Facts that carry a number, a rule or a statistic are tied to a named source and the date we accessed it. This lets you open the source and see it for yourself.
How do we treat prices?
We publish only prices and ranges we can source. Prices depend on date, room type, supplier and exchange rates. Our tools use only the numbers you enter, and our guides show you how to ask for a clear total for two in writing.
How do we compare options?
We compare options on the same basis: the same dates, the same number of travellers, the same inclusions and the same taxes and fees. Where an option differs, we say how.
How do we keep pages current?
We review pages on a schedule, and sooner when a rule or schedule changes. Our editorial policy explains how we date and correct pages.
What should you do next?
Use the guides to get oriented, then check the details for your dates. If you want a second pair of eyes, message us and we will check them with you.
