This chooser helps two people who want different things agree on a trip. Each partner rates six priorities from one to five. The result shows your shared top two, any big gaps, and trip styles that fit.
If you already disagree, start with what to do when one wants a beach and one wants a city.
How do I use the chooser?
Partner A moves the sliders for rest, adventure, culture and food, privacy, value, and short travel time. Partner B does the same on their own rows. Use one for “not important” and five for “very important”.
Try not to give every priority a five. A few honest ones and twos make the result more useful. Press the button when both sets are in.
What does the result mean?
The first line names your top two shared priorities, found by adding both ratings. The second line suggests a trip style for the top one. The third line lists priorities where you differ by three points or more.
If there are no big gaps, choosing is easier. If there are gaps, talk about those first. The worksheet in matching your priorities as a couple gives you questions for that talk.
What does it assume?
It assumes all six priorities matter equally in the sum, and that a one-to-five rating means the same to both of you. It also assumes your answers reflect this trip, not travel in general.
The style suggestions come from destinations we cover, such as quiet island resorts, food cities and nearby escapes. They are starting points, not rankings.
What are the limits?
It cannot weigh leave, budget, season or flight time. A top priority of rest still needs a resort that fits your dates and spending. It also cannot settle a deeper disagreement for you.
When you have narrowed the field, picking a couples trip by your top priority shows how to move from style to a shortlist. If you are stuck between two, see beach or city: which suits us.
What should we do next?
Read the result aloud together and note the gap that surprised you most. Agree one thing each of you wants to protect on the trip. Then message us the summary with your dates, and we will bring back options that respect both lists.
