Honeymoon budget calculator for two

You have quotes in hand and want to see what the whole trip adds up to.

How many nights you plan to stay.
Enter your own quote in RM for both of you, return trip.
Enter your own quote in RM per night, including taxes and fees.
Enter your own estimate in RM for both of you for one day.
Airport, ferry or boat transfers, in RM for two, all legs.
Tours, spa, dinners out, in RM for both of you.
Insurance, visas, shopping, souvenirs, in RM for two.
Extra cushion for surprises. 10 is a common starting point.

This calculator adds up the quotes you already have and gives one total for both of you. Fill in each line, press the button, and you get the trip total, a per-night figure and a per-person figure. It takes about two minutes.

For the thinking behind the numbers, read how much honeymoon budget to plan for two.

How do I use the calculator?

Enter your own quotes for both of you in each box. Flights are a total for the return trip. Room is the price per night, and meals are the cost of one day of eating for two.

Add transfers, activities and other costs as totals for the whole stay. Then set the number of nights and the buffer. Leave a box empty if it does not apply yet.

What does the result mean?

You see the total with your buffer, the cost per night and the cost per person. A fourth line shows how much of your costs, before the buffer, is the room.

If the room takes a large share, a different room type or one fewer night may free up more room in the budget. If it takes a small share, flights and activities are doing the work.

What does it assume?

It assumes every figure is for two people and already includes tax and fees. It counts meals for each night plus one more day. It then adds your buffer on top of the subtotal.

It holds no prices of its own. That keeps the result honest, but it also means the total is only as good as your quotes. See the costs couples tend to miss for lines worth asking about.

What are the limits?

It does not convert currencies, track exchange rate changes or split costs between you. It also cannot see whether a quote is still valid. Treat the answer as a planning figure, then confirm each price in writing.

If you want to organise the lines first, use these budget categories to track. For the buffer, how much to keep for the trip explains how couples decide.

What should we do next?

Save the result and compare it with what you can comfortably spend. If the two are far apart, change one line at a time and run it again. Then message us with the summary and your dates, and we will suggest options that fit.

Want a second pair of eyes on your plan?

Once you have a total, send it to us with your dates. We will show what a stay for two looks like at that number and where it starts to stretch.

Questions couples ask

Does the calculator know current prices?

No. It holds no prices at all. You enter the quotes you have received, in the currency of those quotes, for both of you. The result is only as accurate as the numbers you type, so refresh them when a quote changes.

How big should the buffer be?

Set it to what lets you stay calm if something moves. A tenth of the subtotal is a common starting point, and a longer trip or a remote island may call for more. Agree the number together before you book.

Why are meals multiplied by nights plus one?

A stay of four nights covers five days of eating, because you eat on arrival day and departure day too. The tool counts that for you, so enter the cost of one day of meals for two.
