What are the three questions?
Answer them honestly before paying for a private car.
- Do we land after dark, or after a long travel day?
- Is the ride to the hotel long, or hard to find on a map?
- Are we carrying more luggage than a normal car holds, such as wedding gifts?
Two or three yes answers point to a private car. One yes may still justify it if you are very tired. Three no answers suggest an app or shuttle is enough.
When does a ride app or taxi make sense?
When you land in daylight and the hotel is near the airport. The app gives you a fare before you move, and a taxi at an official rank is simple. Read scooter, Grab or driver on holiday for how couples decide day to day.
Check that the app works at your destination airport, since some places limit pickups.
When does a shared shuttle make sense?
For a short ride when you do not mind a few stops. It is the simplest saving if your arrival is at a reasonable hour. If your flight is delayed, a shared shuttle may leave without you, so confirm what happens.
What if the transfer is already included?
